SmartDrive Video-Safety Program Selected as ATA Share the Road Program Supporter
Renew Featured Product Agreement for Fourth Straight Year
Arlington, Va. – September 21, 2015, American Trucking Associations announces SmartDrive’s support of the ATA Share the Road program and renewal of its ATA Featured Product agreement.
“Transporting consumer goods safely and economically is critical for motor carrier operations every day,” said ATA President and CEO Bill Graves. “We are very pleased that SmartDrive is continuing as an ATA Featured Product provider helping our members achieve that vitally important goal. As part of their commitment to safety we are thrilled to welcome them as a supporter for the ATA Share the Road highway safety program.”
With innovations in analytics and driver safety, SmartDrive utilizes data from onboard vehicle systems to help fleets and their drivers improve safety performance and fuel efficiency. The in-cab video technology automatically offloads footage when a risky event occurs, showing safety directors, dispatchers and drivers what happened and how the vehicle was being driven, fostering improved driving performance and safety.
“The ATA Share the Road program has long been an advocate for highway safety and, as a company centered on driver safety, SmartDrive is proud to support this initiative and its elite team of professional truck drivers,” said Steve Mitgang, CEO of SmartDrive. “We are here to help fleets protect their drivers, improve driving skills, lower operating costs and deliver value to their bottom line. This mission is at the heart of our company and the commitment we make to our customers each and every day.”
