SmartDrive Executive to Participate in Connected Fleet Expert Panel at SAE 2016 Commercial Vehicle Engineering Congress

Transportation Intelligence Expert Slaven Sljivar to Share Insights on the Benefits of Video-based Safety Solutions for Increased Driver Safety and Management Oversight

SAN DIEGO—Oct. 5, 2016—SmartDrive Systems, a leader in driving performance solutions that reduce collisions and improve fuel efficiency, today announced that Slaven Sljivar, vice president of analytics, will participate in an expert panel session at the SAE 2016 Commercial Vehicle Engineering Congress, on Oct. 6 in Rosemont, Illinois. Sljivar will join representatives from Virginia Tech Transportation Institute, National Transportation Safety Board, National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH) and Encana Corporation to present a comprehensive view of the use of connective technology advanced to improve driver safety and operational efficiency across commercial vehicle sectors.

Sljivar will share examples of how SmartDrive customers are leveraging on board monitoring systems such as SmartDrive’s video-based safety solution to gain timely and accurate insight into driver behavior, and how actionable data produced by these technologies help fleet managers ensure safety policy compliance and operational efficiency.
