TBHC leverages the information delivered through the SmartDrive video safety program to take the guesswork out of driver performance and ensure safety investments are aligned to implement a fear-free safe working environment for its employees.

As the country’s largest distributor of Hunt Brothers® Pizza, TBHC’s primary goal when considering a video-based safety solution was to establish a driver improvement program that wasn’t punitive, but that promoted active collaboration amongst the team. The company saw video technology as both a means to accurately capture the facts surrounding risky driving events and a tool to better align driver performance and management objectives. The objective, Sanford said, is to coach away the poor performance instead of dismissing or punishing employees who might not realize there was an issue in the first place.
