SmartDrive’s proprietary hardware and web-based services document driving “events.” These video and audio recordings are stored in the vehicle’s camera and uploaded wirelessly to a secure server where they are scored and categorized by SmartDrive experts. SmartDrive’s Measured Safety Program employs two miniature cameras, one focused on the road and the other on the inside of the vehicle. These cameras document “events,” which include collisions, erratic driving, high g-force turns and speeding; an audio recorder documents sound simultaneously.
